Symposium on AI and Society
This symposium intents to tighten the link between technical viewpoints on the societal risks of AI and those from industry, law and policy. Hence, top experts in Belgium representing these diverse viewpoints, from within academia and without, will present their work and the challenges they face in addressing the societal risks of AI. Afterwards, they will participate in a panel discussion.
International workshop on AI for Human Resources and Public Employment Services 2023
The AI4HR&PES workshop to be held at ECML-PKDD 2023, aims to study how to address the challenges of the contemporary job market and human resources management by means of data-driven solutions that better enable the different actors to achieve their goals, including the job seekers, employers, HR agencies, policy makers, training facilities, government agencies, and more.
Mini-Symposium on Optimisation in Machine Learning
The goal of this small-scale mini-symposium is to bring together researchers interested in the topic of optimisation in machine learning. It is meant to provide a place for the discussion of the most recent developments in optimisation in machine learning problems, and the exploration of new research directions in this field.

Computational approaches for technical imaging in cultural heritage (7th IP4AI meeting)
With the increasing use of a range of advanced technical imaging and spectroscopic imaging methods in the study and preservation of artworks and other cultural heritage artefacts, there is growing interest in - and need for - computational approaches to fully realise the potential in the data acquired, to automate aspects of the processing and interpretation of the data and be able to address research questions in a variety of disciplines. This is a rapidly growing field of research that is only possible through cross-disciplinary collaboration.
